A careful Nitrux installation starts before the USB drive is created. Backups, hardware checks and clear disk planning matter more than rushing through the installer.
1. Back up the computer
Copy important documents, browser data, development keys and project folders to storage that will not be touched during installation. If the current system uses disk encryption, keep the relevant recovery information available.
2. Confirm current hardware requirements
Check AVX2 processor support, UEFI firmware, memory, storage capacity and graphics compatibility. A machine that misses a current requirement may not become usable simply by changing installer options.
3. Prepare the Nitrux ISO correctly
A bootable ISO should be written as an image to a USB drive. Copying the ISO file onto a normal data USB is not the same thing. Confirm the selected image and destination before writing.
4. Boot from USB in UEFI mode
Use the motherboard boot menu and choose the UEFI entry for the USB device. If the media does not appear, check the image write and firmware settings before using risky workarounds.
5. Install to the intended disk
Read disk and partition choices carefully. If you are replacing another operating system, understand which partitions will be formatted. If you are dual booting, keep a verified backup and a recovery plan.
6. First boot checks
After installation, confirm graphics acceleration, network access, audio, storage visibility and available free space. Then learn the Nitrux update workflow instead of applying package-manager advice from an unrelated distribution.
